New paper on the role of last male sperm precedence in sexual selection
Our new paper in The Journal of Evolutionary Biology shows how social group composition (small or large flies, or a mix) changes the importance of last male sperm precedence in shaping sexual selection |
In the lab we study the evolutionary biology of sex and death, mainly using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model organism.
Our interests include sexual selection, sexual conflict, speciation, fertility, sperm competition, kin selection, immunity, life history and ageing. |
