Our new work in Molecular Ecology shows how larval density shapes the adult seminal fluid of male flies. Surprisingly, small adults (who experienced larval crowding) transfer more of many seminal proteins to females! |

In the lab we study the evolutionary biology of sex and death, mainly using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model organism.
Our interests include sexual selection, sexual conflict, speciation, fertility, sperm competition, kin selection, immunity, life history and ageing. |
